Combating sexual exploitation of children in The Netherlands

Addressing Sexual Exploitation
What can designers do to help combat the sexual exploitation of children? This question was posed by What Design Can Do in collaboration with the Dutch Public Prosecutions Service (OM) and the Ministry of Justice & Security in The Netherlands. Stby conducted research and created comprehensive briefs as a starting point for an invitation-only design challenge.
The No Minor Thing Challenge
Selected design teams and academies had the opportunity to come up with new ways of addressing and avoiding sexual exploitation of children in the "No Minor Thing Challenge". Stby unpacked the complexity of this sensitive topic into a range of concrete questions that could be addressed through design.
Collaborative Research Approach
Given the complexity of the topic, Stby researched it by working closely together with diverse stakeholders and experts in this space.
