Inspiration from indigenous narratives in India for future technologies

The Challenge of Finding Inspiration for Future Technologies
Quicksand worked with the University of Dundee to explore local narratives around agriculture, water, tribal welfare, and crafts. The aim was to find inspiration for future technologies from decentralised and diverse contexts. The project sought to envision decentralised and local technologies based on the knowledge of local people and communities.
Immersions in Decentralised Contexts
The project involved immersions in various decentralised contexts in India, such as tribal coffee growers and organic smallholding farmers. The team aimed to build relationships with people and their routines to explore technological narratives together.
